Wow, seems like anything using suffix -icious is hot these days. So, while driving I heard a radio ad and heard the word Thrillicious. I thought to myself, wow very catchy. The ad said check out Thrillicious.com…..so of course being swayed by advertising I did. And much to my surprise I found some pretty cool webisodes of a couple of lizards, one of the lizards had some pretty sweet facial hair. Check this site out….pretty entertaining. Gives me a few ideas for another cool webisode/website featuring some really cool drills, racing and car crashes……Drillicious.com…watch for it on a browser near you.

I met Ben Harper at the Park West Chicago. Alright, this is TOTALLY cool. I heard about the show, went down without a ticket, parked, ran across the street, started to ask around for one extra ticket to the “Ben Harper” show, and out of the Datsun pops none other than Ben Harper. Needless to say, I made it into the show. And, what a treat. Check out the set list!!!!
The Nightwatchmen (Tom Morello and friends) rocked the Park. What a night.

Bill Kreutzmann Trio and friends invaded the Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago on April 20, 2008. It was all a part of the Green Apple Festival Earth Day Celebration. Fun Times! There were lions and tigers and brass bands, oh my! I was fortunate enough to meet the man himself: Bill Kreutzmann. And, being so close to backstage, I also met the men behind the Dirty Dozen Brass Band. And, being Earth Day and all, I was at one with the Leopard and Bengal Tiger. Jerry G would’ve been proud. Here are some lasting memories:

So, my other buddies band is called “Built For Speed”. These guys know the blues, and they played at the Fantasy Island Lounge in Chicago. Snapped a prime photo of them.

They’re cool, check ‘em out!

Hey World: I wanted to give a shout out to my friends at Craven Dogs! Saw them on 4/26/08 at the Montrose Pub in Chitown. Good stuff, way to go Julie & Mike! It was dark, my cell phone doesn’t take the best shots…. but if you look real hard, you can see the band….
And, Craven Dogs also has a MySpace site.

Happy Cinco de Mayo!
What better way to celebrate the 5th of May than by drinking the nectar of the Gods. After consulting wikipedia I found that Cinco de Mayo is not Mexican independence day, but an initial victory of Mexican forces led by General Ignacio Zaragoza Seguin over French forces in the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862. The actual Mexican independence day is on September 16, so mark your calendars for yet another reason (as if you need one) to down shots of Patrón!
