Nascar Racing and DeWALT XRP Cordless Tools

Posted by bigsky4 on May 31, 2007

Have taken a renewed interest in Nascar racing.  Love the DeWALT car! DeWALT XRP cordless tools are cool, I might have to upgrade from my old DeWALT cordless drill.  Got to keep an eye on Matt Kenseth, that guy knows how to drive. The last post was dedicated to a few cool friends that helped me put together a sweet mock crash scene…. and no, it wasn’t the yellow car! Enjoy the Banter. BigSky.

Movement of Jah Channel

Posted by bigsky4 on May 22, 2007

It’s bound to happen: Channel shift. When you do something really well for years and years, eventually you will see change. You tap the channel, and there is no more room for growth. It’s called the law of diminishing returns. Paradigm shift happens, businesses change. Now, I’m not sure, but I think the book about someone moving cheese and the little mice having to scramble to adjust is spot on.  Just like the circus, elephants run their routines and dance around the bigtop with trainers cracking whips…. but just wait til that mouse crosses their path. Look out, that’s a show stopper. And, what does the elephant do? It changes it’s routine…. stomp! And, to continue with the circus theme, imagine the 800 pound gorilla in the room seeing bananas on a computer screen versus in a book. Of course, the gorilla is going to try to grab the banana from the computer screen. Ok, after he can’t grab it, I think the computer screen will be dismantled, much in the same way the book with the picture of the banana will be thrown across the room. Same end result, the gorilla grabbing for a banana that he can’t obtain. If you bring it back to the channel shift, if your consumer goes from a book to a browser, you have to make sure you serve them in both places…. and give them the option of what channel they want to use. Don’t force it, move with the cheese!!!!

Project X

Posted by bigsky4 on May 19, 2007

So, project x moved to production last night and I must say it’s gonna work. Mini sets, race cars and dewalt.  Who woulda thunk that a day at the nascar races could be so much fun???? The team is in high spirits and has confidence the project will be completed under deadline. DeWALT tools are cool, and you can get DeWALT XRP products at Gcom. I did check and g.com is taken.  Gcom is gonna ‘get ‘er done’.

Liger’s, YahooSoft’s and GoogleClick’s

Posted by bigsky4 on May 18, 2007

Liger’s, YahooSoft’s and GoogleClick’s…. oh my! Now, I may not be the most savvy of search engine marketers…. but I do think that the conglomerates are shaking the foundation of the web. With the most recent purchases made by Microsoft (aQuantive), and the Google acquisition of DoubleClick, ad serving, media and search are at the crux of these moves. Does it make sense? Will Google end up swallowing Yahoo & Microsoft? Well, if Yahoo is priced at $50 BILLION, it doesn’t seem likely. For industry pundits, and privacy junkies, these moves signify distinct shifts in the internet landscape. Who knows how it will all pan out, but I tell you this: Liger’s are real, just ask Napoleon!

Industrial Size It

Posted by bigsky4 on May 18, 2007

Can you imagine…. the size of a blog? Me neither, but at least it is something we aim for. Industrial Size Blogs.  McD’s didn’t like the supersize fryze, but Gcom does like the Industrial Size. If it ain’t big, send it home. Ok, so maybe the first attempt at our blog might be a bit more than we bargained for, but it will be fun. Hope you are entertained by the posts, off-the-wall comments, jokes, humor and dorky posts.  Thanks, Erizzle.
